First, we will review the instructions for the experiment. Feel free to use the "next" and "back" buttons to move through the instructions. Once you hit "start" however, you will not be able to go back.
Before we begin, we like to know some general demographic information:

Left Right BothOn every trial you'll see an image of a shape (a square or diamond) with two or three circles inside.
For example:
The image will appear in appear in one of two locations on the screen:
If the image appears in the upper location. Your task is to respond to the shape, and ignore the fill (dots).
You will press "z" if the shape is a diamond, and "m" if it is a square
If the image appears in the lower location. Your task is to respond to the fill, and ignore the shape.
You will press "z" if the fill has two circles, and "m" if it is has three circles.
Example #1
Since it appears in the lower location and has two circles, the correct response is "z"
Example #2
Since it appears in the upper location and has a square, the correct response is "m"
That's it!
When it appears in the upper location, respond to the shape, and when it appears in the lower location respond to the fill (circles).
When you are ready to begin, hit "start"!
SHAPE
This will be the display for the remainder of the experiment.
Take a second to orient yourself, and when you are ready to begin the first trial hit the "start" button.
FILL
